6、位置 (1)单个的过去分词作定语通常放在被修饰词之前。 the broken clock 坏了的钟表 the stolen backpack 被偷走的背包 The government decided to rebuild the damaged bridge. 政府决定重新修复那座被毁坏的大桥。 名师指津 有些过去分词表示特定含义,单独作定语也放在被修饰的名词之后。 如:left(剩余的),given(所给的),concerned(有关的)等。另外,单个过去分词作 定语修饰代词(如:something,everything,anything,nothing,nobody 等不定代 词或 th
7、ose)时,应该放在被修饰的词后面。 There is a little time left.Lets hurry up. 剩余时间不多了,咱们快点吧。 There will be something changed. 有些东西要改变了。 He is one of those invited. 他是那些被邀请的人之一。 (2)过去分词短语作定语则放在被修饰词之后,相当于一个定语从句。 I am fond of the food cooked by your mother. I am fond of the food that/which is cooked by your mother. 我很

The computer center,which was opened last year,is very popular among the students in this school. 电脑中心是去年开放的,很受这个学校的学生欢迎。 (3)有些过去分词作定语既可前置也可后置,意义不变,但有些过去分词置于被 修饰词前后的位置不同,则意义也不相同。 the concerned expressi

All the windows broken have been repaired. 所有坏了的窗户已经修理好了。 The method used is very efficient. 所用的这个方法很有效。 This is a used car worth only 5,000 yuan. 这是一辆价值仅 5 000 元的旧车。 (1)补全句子 The_polluted_river (这条被污染的河) gives off a terr

(2)同义句转换 The house which was built 100 years ago stood still after the earthquake. The house

The man,disturbed_so_badly,almost lost his memory. 2及物动词和不及物动词的过去分词作定语 (1)及物动词的过去分词作定语,具有完成和被动两层含义。 表示被动。 an honoured guest 一位受尊敬的客人 deeply moved people 深受感动的人们 respected leaders 受人
12、尊敬的领导 表示被动和完成。 the broken glass 碎了的杯子 the question discussed yesterday 昨天讨论的问题 steamed bread 馒头 名师指津 (1)英语中有很多与感觉有关的及物动词,其过去分词有被动意义,即“使人产 生某种感觉”。 moved 受感动的;amused 感到有意思的;pleased 高兴的 (2)有些及物动词的过去分词作定语,并不强调被动意义,而表示一种状态或结 果。 The girl dressed in white looks very beautiful. 穿着白衣服的女孩看起来很漂亮。 The boy seate
13、d at the back of the classroom is clever. 坐在教室后面的这男孩很聪明。 名师指津 人的表情、声音如 look,expression,voice,sound,tear 等用过去 分词修饰。 There was a surprised look on her face seeing what had happened. 看到所发生的事情后,她脸上出现了惊讶的表情。 (2)不及物动词的过去分词作定语,只表示动作的完成,无被动之意。 boiled waterwater that has boiled 开(过的)水 the fallen leavesthe le
