The huge skeletons in museums prove their existence millions of years ago on the same Earth that we now live on. Meanwhile, new discoveries have been made in different parts of the

14、world that open up a bigger picture of these ancient species. And how they went extinct is also a popular subject of scientific studies. However, we still seem to know so little about dinosaurs, and have to rely on our imagination when it comes to questions like “How did they live?”, “What did they

15、sound like?” and “How fast could they run?”. Its this sense of mystery that adds to dinosaurs attraction compared to other fierce animals like lions and tigers - animals that can be seen in todays zoos. But theres more to this dinosaur appeal. According to Guardian reporter Brian Switek, humans are

16、fascinated by dinosaurs not just because were interested in their history, but also because were trying to have a better understanding of human history.“Dinosaurs can be Hollywood monsters, objects of scientific fascination and everything in between, but at the root of it, our fascination with them

But theres a new generation of writers, who are redefining this art form by taking it to social media platforms like Instag

By writing poems on Instagram, she has attracted over 2 million followers and has now published two poetry books, with both topping the Ne

31、w York Times Best Seller list. She writes about everything, but, most importantly, she writes in a language that people can actually understand. About being confident, for example, she wrote: “ If you are not enough for yourself/ you will never be enough/ for someone else.” And about fighting agains

32、t gender inequality, she wrote: “ Bring your hammer and fists/ we have a glass ceiling to shatter(击碎)/ lets leave this place roofless.” “ Im writing for the generation thats reading my work,” Kaur told The Economist. “ Im not talking down to them; Im having the same experiences as them.” This sense

33、of intimacy(亲近感)- which is the opposite to the usually condescending(居高临下的)attitude that traditional poetry has - is probably why Instapoets are so popular today. According to global information company the NPD Group, last year, 47 percent - almost half - of poetry books sold in the US were the work

But there are criticisms that the poems by Instapoets are so simple that they dont qualify as “real” literature - just like when US singer-songwriter Bob Dylan was given the Nobel Prize in literature in 201

35、6, and when this years Pulitzer Prize for music went to Kendrick Lamar, a US rapper. However, the popularity of Instapoets isnt surprising to Kaur at all. “ Good art will always break boundaries,” she told the Los Angeles Times. In fact, Kaur knows all about “serious” poetry, as she studied English

But she still chose to keep her poems simple. “ I want readers to open up this book, start the poem, and from beginning to end I want their reading experience to be simple,” she told CBS News. “ But when they finish that poem, I want their stomach to turn.” And as so many thing
