In 1986, Kihachiro Aratake was looking for sharks about 18 m(60 ft) underwater when he discovered an enormous rock. It was about the size of two football fields. There were huge steps on the rock

17、. Was this really just a rock? Or was it something more? Masaaki Kimura, a geologist(地质学家), traveled to the island to examine the discovery. At first he thought the formations(岩层)were natural. But then he noticed shapes on the rock. Masaaki now believes that these rock formations are the remains of
